Villa Americano was founded in 1987, in Ohrid, the town of the marvellous blue crystal lake. The mission of the owner was to create a villa that would be an example of the quality and service of the area's tradition.

Through the decades, the villa has succeeded in reaching the goal of being one of the most beautiful places for holidays, starting with the exclusive apartments and finishing with the beautiful restaurant, where even the most discerning clients' expectations will be met.

Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Villa Americano and restaurant Americano use only organic products. Most of the products are locally produced. Whenever possible, seasonal products are used so that there is support for the local purveyors.

Using plastic bottles is banned.

All the operating equipment that is used in the hotle has minimum negative impact on the environment. Water is heated with solar panels and the central heating system with solar collectors that minimize the use of fossil fuels.
